Back Ministry to organize health melas under ‘Swastha Mann, Swastha Ghar’ campaign
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Monday that every month on the 14th, Health Melas will be held in 1.56 lakh Ayushman Bharat - Health and Wellness Centers (AB-HWC) across the nation as part of the "Swastha Mann, Swastha Ghar" campaign.
"In keeping with this, a cycle event in the form of a cyclathon, cycle rally, or cycle for health will be held on February 14 at all AB-HWCs to promote and raise awareness surrounding physical and mental well-being and environmentally responsible transportation, "said the ministry.
At Lady Hardinge Medical College in Delhi, a cycling event with the slogan "bike for health" will be held. The hospital will designate a space on its grounds as a cycle stand.
Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, issued a shout-out to all cyclists and health enthusiasts and asked everyone to take part in the mega cycling event at their local AB-HWC.
"One of the finest ways to maintain a healthy, active physique is to cycle. Ride whether much, how little, how long, or how little you feel like, but ride "said the minister.
A year-long campaign called "Swastha Mann, Swastha Ghar" will run from November 2022 to October 2023. For the purpose of remembering the "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav," it promotes the idea of health and wellness (AKAM).
